Sleep 6 to 9 hours a day, Improve Quality of Life
Apparently improve the quality of life is not as difficult as we might think. According to researchers with sleeping for six to nine hours a night is associated with increased quality of life and lower levels of depression.
Results of research conducted at the Cleveland Clinic Sleep Disorders Center, Ohio, USA showed that those who slept normally with a duration of six to nine hours per night had a high value associated with quality of life.
With normal sleep duration of 6 to 9 hours it also has a low value on the issue of depression than those who slept for a while or for a long time.
Among patients with good health, those who sleep in the normal duration, the percentage is higher.
In fact, compared to other healthy patients, those who slept for 6 to 9 hours has a low value for the problem of depression than those who slept long and short.
“One might have expected that their quality of life will go down when he can not sleep enough, but otherwise they also do not realize that sleeping too long can also have a negative impact,” said Charles Bae neurological.
Research conducted by Bae and colleagues analyzed data from 10,654 patient records from the range January 2008 to May 2010.
According to Bae, the results of research showing sleep less than six hours, and more than nine hours is associated with decreased quality of life and increased symptoms of depression.
