“This is the reason why hepatitis is often not realized by people who are infected by specific symptoms appear until the disease becomes severe, or more than 10 years later,” said Rino.
Rino also said that most people do not know because the initial symptoms that occur can not be directly correlated with hepatitis, due to the form of nausea, weakness, and fatigue.
“Hepatitis C has no symptoms, is usually detected during a check-up or blood donor,” said Rino.
Rino further explained that the liver infection caused by the virus can reduce the quality of life and productivity.
In the long run, this disease can also cause liver cirrhosis, which is hardening and shrinkage of the liver so it can not function.
“It is not uncommon when it reaches the chronic stage, the patient will be exposed to hepatitis liver cancer,” said Rino.
