Chinese Scientists Discover How to Treat Sensitive Teeth
Necessary substances to cover holes in the teeth that makes nerves exposed.
Sensitive teeth often make sufferers wince sick / heartsick when consuming food or drinks cold or hot, even the taste too sweet or sour. It is estimated, 3 out of 4 people in the world have the condition of sensitive teeth.
Although quite a lot of patients, there is no drug that can really cure this problem. Currently there are already a lot of toothpaste and chewing gum that was created to help relieve the pain of sensitive teeth, but no one can really eliminate.
Events, a group of researchers from the University of Hong Kong and Anhui Medical University in China claim to have found a natural way to reduce the sensitivity of teeth.
According to the American Dental Association, the sensitivity of the teeth can occur due to several factors, such as overly aggressive brushing, cavities, and gum disease. Symptoms will appear when the outermost layer, enamel, and soft inner layer, dentin, eroded, making pain-sensitive nerves exposed.
Therefore, according to researchers from China, the best solution is to rebuild the enamel and dentin at the same time. To that end, the researchers tried to use adhesive techniques such as those in shells when attached to a particular object.
According to the researchers this theory, this adhesive mixture can bind to minerals with dentin long enough to harden and close the small holes that expose the nerve.
In the laboratory, the researchers tried to stain the enamel of human teeth and damaged dentin with fluids containing gluten and artificial mineral. Some gear just smeared minerals. Conclusion, when the teeth are given first, it will form the enamel and dentin. When only covered mineral, only forms dentin.
It was concluded the researchers, the technique may be quite universal and simple, but it could be a new chapter in the fight against tooth sensitivity.
